Courthouse Closure

The Morgan County Courthouse is being renovated.  As a part of the renovation, the courthouse will be closed beginning February 16, 2026, for an estimated period of two to five weeks. 
On February 9, 2026, our office will be moved to a temporary office at the former MCATS building located at 401 2nd Ave SE, Decatur, AL 35601. Our office will remain at the temporary location during the closure. We will continue to accept and record documents.  During the closure, the public records room will not be accessible to the public.  Online records will continue to be available at www.morgancountyprobate.com.

 

Also, please note that the Probate Court will only conduct emergency court hearings during the closure.
